Birth*Noel Jacob Shier was born in 1989.
Death*He died on 30 June 2012 in Denver, Colorado, United States; SHIER, NOEL JACOB With heavy hearts we say goodbye to Noel Jacob Shier. He died on June 30, 2012 in Denver, Colorado. At the age of 23, Noel's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was always entertaining, always inspiring, and always down for an adventure. Noel loved being outdoors and was passionate about skateboarding, which in fact was his primary method of transportation. Noel never met a board he couldn't master, be it a skate, snow or audio board. Noel was pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio Production while attending the Art Institute of Colorado. Noel's humor and contagious smile will be missed! Noel is survived by his loving parents Ed and Jan Shier, his brother Sean Shier, his sisters Elise (Jon) Parks, Emily (Joe) Wysmierski, his love Sarah Mason, his grandparents Charles and Mary Jane Shier, and many more relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Cleo Jesse. A Memorial Gathering is planned for 7:30 p.m. on July 17, 2012 at North Shore Park, 18775 North Shore Drive, Ferrysburg, MI 49409. Family and friends are invited to attend to share their memories and celebrate Noel's life. A Memorial Fund (Account Number:3036517828) has been set up at Chase Bank with the goal to fund a Skate Boarding Park as skate boarding was one of Noel's greatest passions.

She was the daughter of John RUSSELL (Russ) Shier and Eliza Jane Sedore
(Witness) CensusNorma Evelyn Shier appeared on the census of 1921 in the household of John RUSSELL (Russ) Shier in Assiniboia District, Saskatchewan, Canada
Married Name As of 4 October 1939,her married name was Lehne.
Marriage*Norma Evelyn Shier married Reinhard Berbhard Lehne on 4 October 1939.
Death*Norma Evelyn Shier died on 24 January 2011 at age 90; Norma Evelyn (Shier) Lehne was born in Carnduff, SK on August 8, 1920 to parents John and Eliza Shier. She was the third child in a family of fifteen and also the oldest girl. She attended Florence School #127 and received a Grade 7 education which was considered good in those days. Norma was her mother?s right hand. With a family of fifteen she was like the hired girl, helping with all the household chores as well as looking after her siblings. In 1931 Norma moved with her family to the Pahanan District near Kinistino. Due to depression years and sand and dust storms they needed a new source of income, so her dad started a blacksmith shop. It was here where she met and married her lifelong partner Reinhard Lehne on October 4, 1939 in Weldon, SK. Their entertainment in those days consisted of listening to music, dancing and visiting with their friends and neighbours. In 1946 Norman & Reinhard bought land and moved north of Love where his brother already lived. Here they raised a family of five children: Clarence, Darlene, Evelyn, Gordon and Fay. Times were hard and Reinhard worked off the farm a lot. This left Norma to shoulder the load at home of which she never complained. In 1956 they moved to Nipawin where work was more accessible and they also had three children attending school now. Norma helped supplement their income with various housecleaning jobs until she started her career as a nurse?s aide. This was in the old nursing home which started at the old Nipawin Hospital until Pineview Lodge was built. She worked here for over twenty years till ill health prevented her from continuing. They continued to live in their home until their move to Aspen Grove where they eliminated the workload of attending a large yard and garden plus the processing of all the fruits of their labour. Norma was a wonderful cook and took great pride in canning and baking as well. Homemaking was a big part of her life. She also took care of Grandma Lehne who lived in their home for quit a few years. Norma had many great hobbies, listening to the radio, reading, puzzles of all kinds. Some favorite TV shows were Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right. She also enjoyed Tribal Trails, especially the music. Her favorite pastimes were her family ? her children, and ten grandchildren and in later years her 19 great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed socializing with her friends at Aspen Grove as long as she was able. Some of her fondest memories were their 50th wedding anniversary celebration and any family gatherings, most recently her 90th birthday held last summer. Also her trip with her sister Elva, and daughters Fay and Evelyn to Carduff. Some of her saddest memories were the loss of her husband Reinhard on December 22, 1996 and her son Gordon on December 24, 2007. She was also predeceased by her parents John and Eliza Shier; her brothers Harold, Donald, Marshall, Allan and Jack; sisters June, Olive and Mavis. She leaves to treasure her memory her children: Clarence (Lorna) Lehne of Regina, Darlene Boyle of Stoney Plain, Alberta, Evelyn (Gordon) Anderson and Fay (Lyle) Anderson of Carrot River; brother Walter Shier; sisters - Elva Wall, Vera Boe, Dorothy Wall, Avis Foster and Erva Johnson; grandchildren - Reinhard (Carol), Robert (Cheryl), Audrey (Bret), Cheryl, Allan, Jackie (Peter), Tracy (Mike), Greg, Shawn (Maria), Ryan (Laura); great grandchildren ? Darcy, Dawn, Dylan, Dustin, Colton, Camryn, Alex, Sam, Shane, Cody, Brandie, Jordan, Ethan, Mackenna, Kalem, Alea, Amiya, Julia and Brenna.
