She will be deeply missed by her sister Francis McLean, and by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Violet enjoyed her time spent with family where she was known to lay the ""smack down"" and a good elbow drop on the unsuspecting. Will be sadly missed by 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Survived by a brother Herb Blakey of Collingwood, a sister Mabel Brewer of Whitby, two sisters-in-law Loreen (Don) Nixon and Rose MacIntyre. Predeceased by a son-in-law Ritchie Scott, two sisters Bella White and Lizzie Chamberlain, five brothers George, Howard, Henry, Gorley and John, a sister- in-law Elsie Cook, two brothers-in-law Earl and Lorne Shier. Resting at the McMILLAN & JACK FUNERAL HOME, Dundalk. Funeral service will be held in the Dundalk Wesleyan Church on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Donations to the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Missionary Church or Samaritan's Purse would be appreciated.
