TESKEY ON TUESDAY- News of the death of Mrs. Willaim Teskey, which occurred on Friday, May 6th, after an illness of several months, was received with regret by many friends. Deceased was a daughter of the late Thomas Horne and Mary Shaw, representing two pioneer families of Oro township, and was in her seventy-third year. She is survived by her husband, three daughters and five sons. The daughters are: Mrs. H.G. Macpherson and Mrs. W.D. McBride, Whitehorse, Yukon; Mrs. A.M. McDonald, Vancouver, B.C.. The sons are: Garrett, San Francisco; Clifford, of Vancouver; Howard W. of North Bay; Manley and Charles H.., of Chicago. There are also twelve grandchildren. She is survived, also, by one sister, Mrs. James Fell, Orillia, and three brothers, John T., James and Andrew Horne, of Oro.The funeral took place on Monday, May 9th, from the family residence, 12 Albert street, and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Service was conducted by Rev. J.R.S. Boyd there and at St. James’s cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs. F.N. Horne, A.C. McIntyre, Orillia; G.W. Teskey, a nephew, of Sarnia, and three sons, Howard W., North Bay; Manley and Charles H., of Chicago.was of a sweet loveable disposition, a model wife and a devoted mother. Dr. Mason personally conveyed to the bereaved family the sincere sympathy of his congregation of which the deceased was formerly a member. |

Russell W Houvener, of White Plaines, N.Y. services will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 4th (*probably the 5th) at the Steuernol Funeral Home in Prudenville, Mich. Pastor John Pruden will officiate with burial in Houghton Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
