He is survived by his son, Shawn (Kris) Shier, Portage, WI; three grandchildren, Kody, Shayla, and Klarissa; his brothers and sisters, Walter (Kathleen) Shier, Menominee, MI, Ruth Evans, Sun Prairie, WI, Eugene (Bonnie) Shier, Honey Creek, WI, and Eleanor (Carl) Erdman, Princeton, WI; a special niece, Theresa Shier, Princeton, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Thomas, William, and Butch, a sister, Patsy Kratz, and a sister-in-law, Florence Shier. Funeral services were held at the funeral Home, with the Pastor Steven Corbett officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Packwaukee.

She was the proud Grandmother of Michael and Sarah of Burlington, Kayla, Megan and her husband Mat Lang in Colorado and Great Grandmother to Emerson. She was loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and was a cherished friend. Clela was a dedicated nurse for 40 years with much of that time at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. She loved her time at the cottage, boat rides (but not too fast!), antiques, fall drives to see the colours, and anything chocolate! She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes Street, West, Fenelon Falls on Tuesday, March 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with the funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Guests are invited to a reception following the service at Fenelon Falls United Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ross Memorial Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences or donations can be made at www.jardinefuneralhome.com.

Gordon Shier passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm on Thursday, January 10, 2008. David proudly served in the United States Army for 19 years before retiring in Lake County. While serving his country he received the Bronze Star for bravery, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Southwest Asia Medal, and many more commendations. He served in Kuwait, Iraq,
Bosnia, Saudi and Kosovo. He loved his country and was proud to serve. Since retiring he has been employed at
Nobles Marine working with boats, one of his many
passions, and enjoyed the
Noble family. David was best known for his witty sense of humor and everyone will miss him. He is survived by the love of his life and soul mate of 27 years, Tammy. He has two wonderful sons, David Shier, Jr. and his wife Suzanne and Kale Shier. Both boys loved spending the weekends with David rebuilding and restoring old cars. He is also survived by his parents Gordon and Linda Shier who will miss him dearly. He has one brother, Paul Shier and wife Paloma; three sisters, Corrie Willis and husband Bobby, Ellen Coggins and husband Bo, and Sheryl Novack and husband James. He has 8 nephews and 11 nieces who will always
remember their Uncle Dave. Many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends will mourn his passing, but will always
remember him with that
special grin on his face and his love of life. He will be
remembered in our hearts forever. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held for David on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 1:30PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Immediately following the
service the family will be
receiving friends at the Shier Home.

She was the daughter of Herbert Edgar Shier and Rev. Gudrun Margareta Franson. 
Death*Dean Murray Shier died on 4 August 2017 at age 55; Dean Shier succumbed to cancer on August 4, 2017. Dean, son of Herb and the late Gudrun Shier, was brother to Donna (Tim) Korol, Pat (Denis Chalifour), Peggy, and Joanne Shier and was uncle to several nieces and nephews. Dean grew up on a farm near Colonsay, SK and graduated from Colonsay School in 1979. He had degrees in Agriculture and Engineering from the U of S. His career as a mechanical engineer was based in Calgary. Dean had a great thirst for knowledge. His interests included recipes, history, CBC radio, theatre, travel and political satire. The Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 20 at 1:30 pm at The Willows Golf and Country Club, Saskatoon, SK. Cash Bar. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Colonsay Recreation Board – Swimming Pool. Arrangements in have been entrusted to Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre (306.955.1600.)
