On February 14, 1934 she was united in marriage to Harris Kohls in Kohler. Harris preceded her in death on February 18, 2005. She had been employed at H.C. Prange and with Servicemaster but primarily enjoyed her role as a homemaker. She enjoyed to cook, bake, sew, shop and work on crafts.
Gertrude was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
Gertrude is survived by her three daughters, Nona Miller, Darlene (Vernon) Garbisch and Karen (Arnold) Hoeppner, all of Sheboygan, a son, Jack (Jean) of Waldo; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Ardys and two brothers, Rod and Rupert Roden.
A funeral service for Gertrude will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29 at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating. Entombment will be in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. |

Donna was born in Whitewood, SK on June 14, 1938 and graduated from Whitewood High School. In high school, Donna was nominated and selected as a candidate for Miss Saskatchewan Roughrider. During her youth, Donna loved to figure skate and spent her summers at Round Lake with her family and friends. A lot of her youthful activities and events included her brother Ray. Mom and Dad met when he was a business student from Denmark doing his internship at the Whitewood Co-op. The couple was married in 1958. After moving to Swift Current, Donna pursued her great interest in the natural health industry and became manager of Sangster Health Foods, until her retirement. Donna loved to read and continued studying in the health industry. Donna had a great passion for animals and caring for the lost little souls that shower up on her doorstep. The family would especially like to thank her very dear friend Maureen Sigmeth for her caring, friendship and support during mom's illness. Special thanks to Dr Ibrahim and all the nursing staff who cared for mom. A family celebration of Donna's life will be held at a later date.
