D. died on 17 November 2012 in Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan, United States; Died on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the age of 85 in his hometown of Williamston, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois (Milburn) McCorvie, four children (and their spouses): Scott (Bonnie) McCorvie of St. Johns, MI; Jill (Terry) Perkins of Williamston, MI; Mary Jo (Brad) Morrison of Bettendorf, IA; Lisa (Bill) Frye of Alexandria, VA and his six grandchildren: Drew Perkins; Mecca & Madison Morrison; Ian & Kevin McCorvie and Isabel Frye. Dr. McCorvie (Don) grew up in East Lansing, attended both Michigan State University and the University of Michigan for his undergraduate education and then attended the University of Toronto for Medical School, graduating in 1954. Don is a World War II veteran where he proudly served the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. Don and his wife, Lois, were married in Chatsworth, Ontario on August 8, 1953 and moved to Williamston in 1956 where Don set up his medical practice of 36 years. (He retired in 1992). Don continued to practice medicine until February 2012. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20th at the Williamston United Methodist Church, 211 South Putman St. from 1-3 pm & 6-8 pm & at 12:00 noon on Wednesday prior to service. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 21st at 1 pm at Williamston United Methodist Church, 211 South Putman St., followed by burial at Summit Cemetery on Beeman Rd. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Williamston, MI.
