In addition she was passionately involved with volunteering for several organizations and charitable contributions, including the Santa Claus Girls. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Ann (Kyran) Mulvihill; son, Clayton T. Caldwell; grandchildren, Melissa (Philip) Jackson, Brandi (Felix Tejeda) Mulvihill; great grand-daughters, Alexandria and Abigail Jackson; brothers and sisters; Bob (Marge) Shier, Don (Carol) Shier, Charles "Bud/ Chuck" Jr. (Mary Jane) Shier, and Mary Alice (Shier) Linsley; many nieces, nephews, special cousins and friends. She will be loved, missed, and looked up upon from all and anyone that had ever encountered this wonderful extraordinary unique woman. In addition, for the doctors, nurses, and overall staff at Spectrum Health that provided the exceptional care and compassion for our loved one, thank you very much. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell. Pastor Mike Conklin of Snow United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Bailey Cemetery. The family will meet friends and relatives 10-11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lowell Fire Department, 301 E. Main Street, Lowell, MI 49331.

Jeffrey was born August 25, 1963, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Robert & Marjorie Shier. He grew up with his 9 siblings on a small farm in Rockford, Michigan. After high school, Jeffrey joined the United States Air Force where he honorably served from March 1982 until March
1990 as a Security Specialist, serving in the U.S., Guam & Germany, during which time he was promoted to the rank of SGT. E-4.

After leaving the Air Force, Jeffrey settled in Oklahoma City where he began a career with Marriott Properties, with whom he remained employed until his retirement in October 2022. During this time, he served as a director at various locations across the Country. In 2009, Jeffrey relocated to South Lake Tahoe where he met his love, Debra. Jeffrey & Debra were soon married in August 2017, and together they enjoyed camping with the family, spending quality time riding his Harley Davidson. Jeffrey always challenged his grandchildren he loved.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife Debra, his children Harold “Vince” (Andrea) Cary and Leslie Ann (Louis) Burkart, along with his grandchildren, Emma J., Emma K., and Tyler. Jeffrey is also survived by his siblings, Deborah (Jim) Kring of Texas, Connie Phillips of Kentucky, Jacquelyn Schroeder of Oregon, Robert (Bonnie) Shier Jr. of South Carolina, Joan (Peter) Adamson of Michigan, Joseph (Karen) Shier of Michigan, Adam (Shannon) Shier of Michigan and Alicia Roys of Michigan. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great & Great-Great Nieces & Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Marjorie Shier, his sisters Angelica Shier and Audrey Horrigan, and his niece Gretchen Foster.

A graveside service with Military Honors will take place at Northern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV on March 29th @ 11 am.
