He was buried in Dunara United Church Cemetery, Petersfield, Winnipeg Metropolitan Region, Manitoba, Canada; It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 89.
He will be lovingly remembered by daughter Irene (Mike) and son Allan (Ann). He also leaves his sister Ann; sisters-in-law Anne and Nan and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his nephew Irvin (Bernice) and their family for including him in their family functions over the last several years.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife Jean; parents Thomas and Stella; brother Russell; brothers-in-law Keith and Calvin and son-in-law Guy.
Gordon was born in Teulon, MB on Feb 27, 1923 and grew up on the family farm near Petersfield. He and his brother Russell took over the family farm as young men and worked it together until their retirements. Gordon lived on the farm for 79 years. He married Jean Burton on November 12, 1959 and was happiest spending time with his family and buddies, working the farm, hunting, fishing, and reminiscing about the good old days. Gordon moved to Selkirk in 2002 where he lived out his remaining years. Gordon was compassionate, generous and had a soft spot for animals, in particular cats. Cally, his faithful four-legged companion for many years, predeceased him by only a few months.
In accordance with Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Internment will take place privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St, Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or to the animal shelter of your choice.

Rest in Peace Dad. We will miss you.

Delay was born March 8, 1945 in St. Helens, Oregon the son of Theodore and Mary Ellen Shirley Delay. He grew up in Milton-Freewater where he attended local schools. After his schooling, he began working at Harris Pine Mill in Pendleton, Oregon and also worked as an auto mechanic. He later moved to California where he owned and operated an auto repair shop. On January 18, 1975 he married Kathleen A. Shier in Minden, Nevada. The couple lived in Sacramento and Eureka , California and then moved to Weston in 1995. Mr. Delay continued working as an auto mechanic, retiring due to ill health. He enjoyed camping, listening to talk radio and the dogs he owned through the years. Mrs. Delay preceded him in death on March 12, 2004.

is survived by 4 sons, Bill Shier and Ted Delay both of Walla Walla, Washington, Doug Delay of McKinleyville, California, Rex Delay, 2 daughters Michelle Delay of Weston, Oregon, Verleen Delay, 2 brothers Jerry Delay of Eureka, California, and Calvin Delay of Touchet, Wa a sister Beverly Stamp of Crescent City, California, 4 grandchildren Connor and Liam Delay, Daniel VanWinkle, and Mary Shier.

Gary Douglas Denham died on 20 May 2008 at age 69; Gary Douglas Denham, age 69, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday May 20, 2008. Born in Fort Erie, son of Vi Winger of Cayuga and the late Ralph Denham. Beloved husband of Eva (Brazier) Denham. Loving father of Marty Denham and wife Susan and Douglas Denham and wife Shannon. Loving grandpa of Corey, Benjamin, Allison Denham of Stratford, Madison, Vanessa, Devon Denham of Moosejaw, Saskatchewan. Also survived by sister Lynne and husband Sheldon of Wallaceburg and sadly missed by special relatives Susie Ferrell, Bob and Connie Robb and Bob and Lil Phelphs. Besides his father he was predeceased by son Sean. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday May 26th from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. Rev. Marg Smith will officiate. Lynne was born in Fort Erie, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Ralph and Viola (Shier) Denham and step-daughter of the late Clare Winger.

Beloved wife of Sheldon Parsons.

Loving mother of John Parsons, Christine Parsons, Bryan Parsons and Andrew (Tara McGee) Parsons.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren Nevan, Lauren, Jade, Rosland and Kaslo.

Kind sister-in-law of Eva Dunham and step-sister of Mary (Jim) Millard.

Predeceased by her brother Gary.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11am at the St. James Anglican church in Wallaceburg. A visitation will also take place from 10-11 at the church before the service on Wednesday.

Cremation will follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to Multiple Sclerosis or the Breakfast Program may be left at the funeral home.
