Snyder, 88, who died this morning at the Petoskey Geriatrics and Care Center following an extended illness. Rev. Dudley Burr officiated, and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. was born in Ypsilanti and for many years was a violinist with a Detroit orchestra. Following the death of her sister-in-law about 30 years ago, she came to Petoskey to make her home with her brother, Watson, and care for his children.is survived by a nephew, Watson Snyder, Jr., of Hudson, Ohio; a niece, Mrs. Norman (Jean) Varcoe of Fort Lauderdale, Fla; several cousins.

Death*Bruce Ryerson Sparling died on 11 February 2012 at age 31; SPARLING, Bruce Ryerson - October 17, 1980-February 11, 2012 Today we lost a warrior, a soldier, a samurai. Defender against zombies, aliens & creatures from the Blue Lagoon. Bruce fought each day against a cancer too evil to be of this world. A battle in which weapons were useless, it was a battle fought with a determination to survive. The battle would rage for 8 years until Bruce's body was forced to slip from this life to the next. Twin brother, best friend and partner in disturbing behaviour to Michael. Big brother to Susanne. Son of Judy & Ivan. Uncle to Jack & Clint. Nephew to Carol, Lanny, Bruce, Mona, John, Wanda, Bill, Marilyn, Suzie & Rick. Cousin to Rhea, David. Donnalea, Glen, Laura, Mitchell, Daniel, Samantha, Jeffery, Adam, Joe, Bonnie, Kate & late Eric. Best friend to Joe, Pat and countless others. In a deep sleep, in the company of love & compassion, at home, free of any pain or discomfort, Bruce left us peacefully. After so bravely escaping his fate over the years, he rarely complained- and he should have. Most days were a nightmare for Bruce, but he always looked forward to tomorrow. And that is how the ones he left behind will survive. We take peace in that Bruce's last days were spent at home with family and friends. We take peace in knowing Bruce is now in the arms of lost loved ones; Eric, Crawf, Granny & Grandpa- we ask that you take care of our Brucey. We know he is not alone. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Dr. Rebecca Gladdy, her team & the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital- there are no words to describe the value of the time you gave us with Bruce. Without you, those days would not exist. We want to thank Dr. Dietrich, Janet and the staff at St. Elizabeth for their compassion during Bruce's last days. We thank Marty, who let Bruce walk again. We thank our rock- Aunt Carol who gave everything she had, then gave more. We thank David for being more of a brother than a cousin. We thank Joe & Pat for not leaving Bruce's side and being so faithful & loyal, you lit him up with your presence (PALS). We thank everyone who helped during Bruce's journey, We love you all. Bruce Loves You All. Bruce's ashes will be present on February 16th, 2012 from 6pm- 9pm. Funeral Services on February 17th, 2012 at 1pm, in Sydenham, Ont, at TROUSDALE FUNERAL HOME. Birth*Edith May Sparling was born on 23 January 1943 in Meaford, Grey County, Ontario, Canada. 
She was the daughter of Wilfred Harold LAWRENCE Sparling and Emma Frances Watson. 
Married Name As of 17 May 1974,her married name was McKee. 
Death*Edith May Sparling died on 13 August 2022 in Georgetown, Peel County, Ontario, Canada, at age 79; Edith May McKee (nee Sparling) daughter of Lawrence & Emma Sparling (predeceased) of R.R. #2 Meaford passed away peacefully after a seven year battle with cancer on the 13th of August at Georgetown Hospital with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jim of 48 years and children, Dana (Kevin) Fontana and Jeff (Karen) McKee, as well as her six grandchildren Ben, Charlotte, Will, Cadence, Clara, and Finn.
She is survived by her sister Lorna (Bill) Sprung (Bryan Crawford predeceased July 2007), her brothers Wesley (Fionnuala) Sparling and Wilfred (Linda Morrison) Sparling, her sister-in-law Treenie Sparling (Robert Sparling predeceased November 1992), and many nieces and nephews.
Edith graduated as an RN from Owen Sound General & Marine Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. She worked for three years at Santa Barbara California Cottage Hospital and for over 30 years at Mississauga Hospital.
Jim and Edith spent 49 years dedicated to raising their family and enjoyed over 15 years as snowbirds, making new friends as they travelled in their RV.
Edith was grateful for the many family and friends who supported her with calls, visits and words of encouragement, especially her coffee friends, as these moments kept her spirits up.
Many thanks to the nurses and staff in CTC at Georgetown Hospital for their care and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton, (905) 878-4452 on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m with A Memorial Service will commence at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
